Peterson Farm
Sophia, 12 miles south of High Point
Joe and Jean Peterson's farm consists of 46 acres of land bought by Joe's Great-grandfather in 1858.
Joe and Jean grow everything in harmony with nature: no antibiotics or growth hormones in animals, and no pesticides or commercial fertilizers on their heirloom (some even family-heirloom) vegetables.
"Plants are given organic nutrients, which not only nourish the plants but also the soil organisms. We let chickens be chickens, cows be cows, and pigs be pigs according to their nature and needs. Every food product raised on Peterson Farm yields a great tasting bounty that is full of nutrients."
They offer chicken, Jersey beef, pork and and vegetables.
